Why You Might Be A Fraud

And What To Do About It

I’m not talking about like tax fraud.

We were all born and raised, but more importantly, PROGRAMMED our entire lives. Who would we be without that programming, with different programming, or if we were able to program ourselves?

Who are we really? What do we sound like, how would we behave, what are our true belief systems outside of this programming? Are we capable of reprogramming ourselves any way we choose as adults?

There are too many factors to consider when analyzing how we came to become who we are. A big one is peer pressure and external influence on every aspect of our being and behaviors.

What would a child be like if they were only taught language but nothing else? And how would this vary from person to person? We are easily molded, influenced, designed, programmed, etc.

One thing we can try doing in our adult lives is spending some time on this topic in reflection. What kind of natural sounds would we make, if we were to most sincerely express ourselves from deep within? Would we resort to some type of cave-people like behavior? Who would we be without the influence of our parents, role models, teachers, and peers we all grew up with?

What would your vocation be today if you didn’t listen to dad and go to med school?

What type of music would you create if you never listened to any other artists?

What type of art would you create if you never experienced any other art?

And what would happen now if you thought about this, and started to reprogram yourself and adjust accordingly based on the most authentic and uninfluenced depths of your soul? Is there any originality to be found there?

Or are we, for the most part, more like machines that need input, need some form of external programming in order to function? We evolved from nothing, so it must be possible to delve into the origins of our nothingness and begin anew, no?

I’m starting to experiment with these thoughts today, I’ll let you know if I get anywhere, lol.

Be you! The world, especially today, desperately needs more authenticity. We need less regurgitated social-political social media posts, and more leaps toward honest and original expressiveness.

We need to be aware of how easily influenced we are before we can begin a journey into the truly AUTHENTIC.

Perhaps true freedom lies in this more sincere realm. Or maybe not. What do I know? I’m gonna start though, by making some strange sounds and see how it feels.

Good luck on your journey, where ever it may lead!
